Davis just raised the standard for fictional cowboys. I can’t say anything bad about this book. It had me crying, laughing, and swooning. Somehow it’s better than the first book!

Rope the Moon is the second book in Ava Hunter’s Runaway Ranch series and it has solidified my love for cowboy romances!  See author’s note at the beginning of the book for content warnings.

This is the second book in a row that I feel deserves infinity stars!  It was such a pleasure to return to Runaway Ranch and the town of Resurrection in probably my new favorite second chance romance.  And all those grumpy cowboys?  Absolute perfection!

I loved Dakota’s journey so much!  She’s one of the strongest heroines I’ve read and I love how baking helps her heal from everything she’s been through and that she’s the only one who can get Davis to eat sweets!

Oh, Davis.  Ava writes the absolute best grumpy book boyfriends.  He’s pining, possessive, overprotective bodyguard perfection!  I’m always here for a “Who did this to you?” moment.  It’s so apparent how much he cares for Dakota and her baby and I love the lengths he goes to to protect them.  And Cupcake and Hotshot have got to be the best nicknames I’ve ever read!

Thank you so much Ava and Valentine PR for the eARC!  I loved all of the suspense and of course, the spice. I cannot wait for more adventures at Runaway Ranch!
