The reviews on this book do not do it justice! I honestly enjoyed it so much. I listened to it as an audio book so maybe that’s what it hit different for me. This is a bully romance and the author spared no feelings when writing it. Holy shit! Knox (MMC) is a complete fucken asshole and doesn’t care about Aspen’s (MFC) feelings in the slightest. He really is her bully and he doesn’t let up until very, very end.

The story plot overall was enjoyable and the author really makes you go through a roller coaster of feelings but it’s a fun ride.

Okay that epilogue got me. That was good. This was unlike any other stepbrother bully romance I've read when it comes to the parents. It wasn't too difficult to figure out but what a way to overcome an obstacle. I love when the main female character isn't a pushover and actually stands up for herself. Aspen may have tried to stay in the background but when someone stepped up to her she pushed back and I dig that. She also didn't let a man affect her goals in life. Although he may have pushed her hand, he realized he needed to do something first. (Trying not to give spoilers lol) I also enjoyed Knox's personal growth. He's been through some shit and he could have been so much more fucked up than he was. It's a quick read and I got through it in a day. I definitely enjoyed it.

3.5 ⭐️ / overall I enjoyed it but there were times it felt like there was too much going on. I also felt the relationship between the main characters felt a little rushed: it’s almost like there was too much time spent showing the readers that they hated each other and not enough giving readers a chance to see a tangible relationship grow that we would feel confident they would really last outside the traumas they both experienced.

5 stars for Hate Me by Ashley Jade. I am a big fan of Ashley Jade and let me just say that she sure can write a bully romance. This is also a step- brother romance. This book is extremely dark but oh so yummy at the same time. Knox is what I’m going to call dark and dangerous. If I say too much, I feel like I will spoil something. Knox and Aspen hate each and now that they are step siblings it seems to have gotten worse. While reading it was like I could feel these twos emotions towards each other. “But then she’d know the truth. That as much as I loathe her with every f**king fiber of my being… I’m also completely f**king drawn to her. And I know deep down she feels the same. We’re like two magnets…the electrical currents running through us simultaneously repel and attract one another. I f**king hate it. Hate her.”
Honestly, this book is a must read. This book kept me guessing on what would happen next. Things happen that I never saw coming. It was a gritty book, but I loved every second of it.

This book was dark and intense. Lots of twists and unsure how this book was going to end. But as always Ashley kills it again. It’s like you want to hate Know and in moments you do but at the same time I couldn’t get enough of him. As far as aspen her character was I felt like strong not weak like some authors write about when being with someone so alpha and dark. She sees the good despite the bad in people and I seriously loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. It kept me on the edge but in a good way. I definitely recommend this book especially if you like dark enemies to lovers.

Hate Me is a dark bully romance with Knox and Aspen. Knox is such a troublesome guy with a horrible story. Aspen also has a sad story but is definitely taken advantage by the people who she believes that care for her. Knox just opens her eyes and conditions her to take on the world and not feel sorry for herself, even though Aspen doesn't see it this way. Knox's approach may not be the best way to treat Aspen but I could understand why he did and acted a certain way. I don't want to give spoilers but this was definitely a book with darkness and mystery. My only complaint about this book was the ending. Ashely developed the character so well that I was expecting a little more for the ending. It left me wanting more of the characters.

Knox takes bully to a whole new level! He's twisted and delectably dark. An enemy you definitely don't want.

Aspen is a sweet wallflower. She's the goodie two shoe and school know it all.

Sometimes.. things aren't always what they seem and sometimes opposites don't always attract..

This book is incredibly intense and if you're not a fan of bully reads then you should move on past...but if you have an open mind and maybe crave the bad boy scene, then get to one clicking cause Jade sets this genre on fire!

Did I mention this is a standalone?? Yep no cliffy's here!
