This book was quite the page turner! Loved how it showcased the effects of hunger and poverty on Chrissie. The twists and turns had me hooked throughout and it was a great read. They should do a prequel with Chrissie's mom.

The First Day of Spring was an amazing read. This book really reels you in, and is a great mystery book for thriller/horror fans to enjoy. Chrissie's development is amazing to watch through the novel, and there are plot twists you'd never see coming. (Some plot twists are really well led up to, but others are so subtle and insane that you'd never have expected them.) I wish this book was a little faster in pace, but that's my personal preference! I still think this book is absolutely phenomenal and is going to be sitting at the top of my recommendations for a long time.

The First Day of Spring took me four and a half hours to read.
