La trama esta tomando bastante intensidad pero hay algo, hay algo que no me convence.

The Best of: Somalia

1. The opening scene. Oh, to live in a world where Anderson Cooper reports on the Black Widow instead of Donald Trump. If only...

2. The Avengers's reactions to the news: "I'm getting Captain America." (Clint) "Get popcorn." (Tony)

3. Natasha on a mission with the Howling Commandos? Yes, please, and thank you.

4. Director Hill's reactions to the news: "...I'm watching now, Tony. No, it's not even remotely funny. I'll call you later."... "No, sir, she's on assignment at the moment. Black Ops, no contact. Because that's what she does for us, sir."

5. "I like the desert. I like working in the desert. It's clean. The objectives are clear. The Howling Commandos? They're clear, too. But the honest reason I'm glad to be in the middle of a war zone? I've been needing a good, clean fight. And the Howlin' Commandos always know where to find a good, clean, private fight."

6. The civilian defending the Black Widow to Anderson Cooper: "Look, Anderson. People got hurt. But that wasn't the Black Widow. She stopped that guy from killing a lot more people. She's a hero, and you Americans, you should treat her like that. We were glad to see her in our streets."

7. Natasha's thoughts on her job description: "I'm not a trained soldier. I'm a spy. But I am a fighter. But lately I've felt more like a soldier than a spy. And if that's what the world is asking for... I'm happy to oblige."

8. "The world is a nasty, complicated place full of riddles and shadows. Chaos lives up to its name. It's wreaked havoc on my life. It's made everything miserable. There's no defense against pure chaos. There's nothing for it, except to slowly turn up the light on its shadows. Facts are few, friends are fewer... And rarely worth the effort."

9. Director Hill and Tony's conversation about Natasha: "You know, he wasn't entirely wrong. The report wasn't unfair." "I know that. That's why it's a real problem."

10. This heartbreaking confession: "I've only ever been good at one thing. Lots of skills. But one thing. I did that thing for bad. I do that thing for good. There's nothing I'm afraid of, save that one thing... That someone might take the good away. If you take that away, I don't know what I will do. I don't know who I will become. That's why I have to stay alone. That's why I stay in the shadows. To keep it safe."

11. Isaiah's frustration with Liho is adorable. Trust Natasha's cat to be stubborn.

12.
YOU DID NOT JUST FUCKING SHOOT ISAIAH! ARE YOU SERIOUS??? HE BETTER NOT DIE!

So all of these GNs I've been bringing home from the library of late are being read by 3 or 4 of the household - I need to reflect that somehow in the circ stats!
Good read - love the character, and I'm always happy to read of tough women. The financial adviser/lawyer cracked me up.
