I was not expecting this book to have such beautiful and complex notes on Motherhood, but I was so here for it. The mystery at the heart of this book was well written, if not a little underwhelming, so I really appreciated the inclusion of each of the main female characters reflecting on their relationship with their mom/children.

This book was good, but just good. I read it because I’ve been dabbling in crime/mystery, and it takes place on the Appalachian Trail which runs through Shenandoah National Park. I don’t know exactly what I was expecting, but it wasn’t this.

This was fine. The ending was satisfying, but I feel like up to that point there wasn’t a whole lot of depth, and the reason she ended up lost in the first place was kind of random and stupid. The themes were great, but there were so many perspectives that it never went deep enough and kind of meandered. It would have benefited from being longer.

Should also say on the cover that it's inspired by a true story because a huge part of it was inspired by the story of Gerry Largay.
