Yes, I finally hopped on the bandwagon. I wasn't going to read the series till I was sure all the books were finished, but... here I am anyway.

I really admire Martin's ability to completely suck you into a world. It's been a long time since I've read any fantasy, but this series reminds me why I love the genre. I'm so fascinated by the world created here and I can't wait to learn more about it. I also appreciate the level of realism; even though I'm still rooting for the good guys, it's good to see that they don't always win all the time, just like real life.

Onto book 2!

Too good to be true!
I put reading this off for a long time. And when I finally started reading, I wondered why. This book is the epitome of epicness! One of the greatest fantasy book ever written. Do not make the mistake I made. Read it the moment you get your hands on it. And the rest of the books are even more amazing. Can't wait for The Winds of Winter. Till then, I'll just watch the show A Game of Thrones. Jon Snow shall go down as one of the best fictional characters in history. So shall Arya Stark. And the crown of best pet (male) goes to Ghost! [The female crown belongs to Hedwig].

Loved the book the first time I read it. I tried a second time. Unfortunately the GOT show on HBO has ruined me. The book was so similar to the first season but much slower. I just couldn’t get through it that second time. Maybe I was in the wrong book mood.
