I really enjoyed this book! I couldn’t put it down! I love when books capture my attention from the very beginning and this one did that.

I really liked Laura’s character from the start. I was interested in her hobby of finding treasures on the seashore and returning them to the owner. Her compassion, kindness, and courage made her such a great heroine!
I liked Alexander too! He was a mystery from the beginning so I was intrigued by him and couldn’t wait to discover more about him. His story was really interesting.
I really liked some of the side characters as well, particularly Perry!

The romance was really sweet too. I did get a little frustrated with Alexander at a certain point in the story where I felt like he gave Laura the impression he cared about her only to not tell her his true feelings before going away. He just kind of left her hanging. Other than that, I loved their story and the proposal was perfect!!

I absolutely loved the seaside setting! I really liked the Cornwall setting and how Julie Klassen weaved history into the story.
The faith in this story was really nice as well! The theme of forgiveness was so well done.

This book was intriguing and filled with plenty of suspense as well a bit of mystery. Like I mentioned earlier, I really couldn’t put it down!

In conclusion, I enjoyed this book a lot! It was interesting, atmospheric, and romantic. A solid 4-4.5 stars for me!
