It's not a parenting book, but it does contain information and topics that worth exploring further.

I like the spirit of this guy's work, but the book was lackluster in some parts. It seemed like he had done a lot of research on his parenting journey, but fails to share it in a meaningful way to readers. I agree that much of it reads as a defense of his odd parenting strategies. Quick read.

Interesting read from a story perspective but very little if any actual parenting information I found useful. Pretty much this guy winging it and trying to market it as science.

Often funny. Lots of great tidbits about parenting backed up by research and science (i.e. doesn't matter where you go for undergraduate studies; private schools make little/no difference in a child's future earnings; reading to your kids is the most important activity a parent can push).

He's a bit too proud of his kids, but that's the kind of fault a father can be forgiven.

The statistics were interesting but the author sounded like such a dick I couldn't finish it. He talks about how he named his child an asian name in an attempt to "reverse assimilate"??? He was mad that another kid was better at math than his own so he purposely gave him a puzzle that would "humiliate" him. NOT INTO IT.
