I think the "lack" of plot and character development, if you can call it that, actually lends itself to the story. The art is just as creepy and just as mysterious. I think the setting is just as complex as the first volume. I still love the series.

I'm still enthralled by this series. The more pages I read the lesser the questions get answered but I honestly don't care. The setting is captivating and it overshadows the confusing plot. The foreboding evil that lurks in the background of the story and the black and white panels keeps me on edge. This is truly a beautiful, twisted, book that I want more of. Can't wait to read the next volume.
