I just adore Ned Vizzini’s writing and am deeply sad there won’t be more of it.

This felt like reading It’s Kind of a Funny Story in a lot of ways. Same voice.

This did get a bit repetitive throughout.

I had a copy of this book for years and it was my go-to road trip read. I have no idea what happened to it, which is upsetting since I probably would get more out of it now that I'm passed all those angsty teen years.

This is a really honest set of stories about Ned Vizzini's life, and some of them are so sad in hindsight when you think about what happened to him. I love him as an author, RIP.

it's hard for me to write a review now that the author is gone. reading this, he seemed like a guy who had a great life and judging only by what he chose to put in this book, he didn't seem depressed even though we all know now that that's not the case. I'm going to miss reading new stuff from him. :(

RIP

Inspired me to write my own essays about my childhood! A very realistic overview of what it's like being a teen

Don't ask me why but every time I finish one of Ned's books I feel warm and fuzzy inside. Tì

I read this in middle school or perhaps early high school. I am tired of smart young punks showing off how smart they are! I guess the big ego starts early.
but this book was funny in some parts. as funny as a kid telling you he is smarter then you and always will be.
