It just did not hook me in. Was slow as hell in the beginning, and I actually found that I didn't like Maggie that much.

Started out okay. Held my attention for about half the book. Then I was so bored and couldn’t believe it was still dragging on. It seemed like new conflicts were popping up late stage. The book could have ended a lot sooner. It was fine but ultimately would not recommend.

I loved, loved, loved this book!
I really enjoyed the house-flipping plot with a little bit of mystery, it was so fun!

But what specially made this book so lovable for me, was the characters. Maggie, my to-do lists loving, aware of how everything in your life can suddenly change, scared of loving other people and scared of other people to love and depend on her girlie. I related to her way too much🫠❤️
Silas, the hot landscaper guy with his philosophical phrases. He was so funny, but also so deep and wise and caring. I know this is a big thing to say, but I think Silas jumped to the top of my book boyfriends list🤭Also his dog Kevin were such a cutie.
And of course I can't forget Dean, coffee addicted, number obsessed, grumpy assistant.

Literally every character were amazing and lovable (okay, Dayana's mother is an exception). Wallace, Cody, the town's people, Silas's workcrew and Silas's family, I loved all of them so, so much.

There wasn't really anything that I disliked in this, but I did found the last pages to be a little bit overwhelming, since so much were happening at the same time. Maggie and Silas had to figure things out, Maggie's dad came to see her, Silas asked a big question from Maggie and then the treasure hunt. All those things, in a few pages.

If you like small town romances with the found family trope and with amazing, funny, lovable characters, please read this!
This also reminded me of the Netflix movie Falling Inn Love, so if you're looking a book with similar vibes than that movie, this is it but just so much more better!

Is it bad that I liked the process of the house makeover more than the romance. I just think I'm not a Lucy Score girlie...
