funny hopeful fast-paced

Such a fun story with just the right amount of humor and angst. Loved the combination of her love life, athlete life and friends. She is a collegiate diver who is coming off a major injury. . He is a collegiate swimmer with an ex girlfriend diver who is trying to hook him up with a little rougher sex life that he likes and his ex does not. Scarlet has had a bit of a rough go with her mother dying and her father being abusive. Her step mom Barb saved her. Scarlet is at Stanford and Lucas is a swimmer from Sweden. He automatically likes her but holds back to not scare her. Love that we got to see her blossom in diving and figuring out love. Love Lucas. At the end she flies to Sweden to get him back. He’s waiting for her and wants her back.  They both end up in medical school.

these bitches are boring to read about
emotional slow-paced

This is supposed to be an intro to kink, but Scarlet and Lukas have kinda annoying vanilla sex where Lukas is just in control of what they are doing. It reads like any other spicy scene, but Scarlet insists on calling them "perverts" for what they get up to.

The "plot" is barely existent/super anemic.

Lukas and Scarlett are my OTP

The writing in this book feels like the writer has really hit their stride. All the quirks of her style really worked for me in this book in a way they haven’t in others.
