Entertaining...

After the death of son, Maggie agrees to take part in drug trial experiment. The medicine seems to help her with her daily functions of life instead of being stuck in bed like a zombie. As she is dealing with the death of her son - her life is thrown for another loop when her husband dies. As with any medications on the market - this trial drugs comes with side effects. Even though the drugs come with adverse side effects such as insomnia, diarrhea, high blood pressure, etc. The drug also comes with side effects that are useful for her job as a Federal Agent. She's able to sense certain things before they happen. What a useful side effect to have when there's a serial killer on the loose. Accompanied by her Tums-popping partner, Morris - they set out to find out who's using fear as a way to torment their victims.

Author Jeff Menapace style of writing brings the reader along on the journey. I felt as though I was sitting in the room with Maggie - brainstorming over clues that the killer left behind.

Side Effects is an entertaining read that will have reader's attention to the very end.

I tried my best with this book but I just couldn't get into it. I was very disappointed in this book. I wanted much more from it.
