This was a tough one. In the first twenty pages I almost put it down because of the super young heroine and her views on religion, sexual orientation, virginity and drugs. Fisher pissed me off and came off as too intense towards this young girl at first but I almost think that was the point. Their chemistry was undeniable and the story began to really grow on me. Reese’s struggle with the extremely conservative way she grew up was engaging and painful. I do feel like it tackled some pretty sensitive topics in a thought provoking way. In the end I wanted them together even though in the beginning I couldn’t stand by it. Despite really being unsure, I devoured the story in less than a day. And I think I’ll be reading the second one!
