This was a fun little book, very predictable, not a masterpiece by any means but i really enjoyed it as something fun and easy to read. Themes of compromise but in a healthy way should be a bigger standard in romance books. I also liked how much time passed from beginning to end, it made it feel a little more realistic instead of "its been two days and im in love with you". Overall, a good and casual read, i will probably read other books by this author(:

3.5 this was just okay. I can tell I have some kind of bias when it comes to American politics because I just shut down. I have little to no interest in hearing about it and even though this had relatively little I was bored.

I enjoyed the fun back and forth between Olivia and Mac at the beginning but as they got closer it was just meh. There was little steam which probably would’ve helped my interest but really I just wasn’t as interested in the drama of public life and worrying about putting on a front for the constituents.

I don’t think I’ll remember much about it by the end of the month and so far this series is going downhill as I progress along. We shall see what the last one is like.

I loved this as much as Jasmine Guillory’s other books. Smart, funny, and sexy. Though I could have used more Alexa and Drew! Ready for the next one.

I enjoyed this so much! I’m very glad I had this book to start off the new year because I just got a bunch of contemporary romance to follow up with.
