I love Wellington. I have not read a book of his yet that I havent liked. He writes about these monsters and changes the way everyone thinks about them, but he keeps enough of the legend to be able to keep the name of the monster. some books change the rules so much you cant even call it a vampire, or werewolf anymore. I love that this one was written in the perspective of the monster and not of someone hunting the monster. I recommend Wellington to anyone who likes books.. You dont have to only like monster books. He is just amazing at telling stories.

LOVE, love, LOVE this book. the only reason it got 4 out of 5 stars is that i wanted it to be longer! extremely well written werewolf story, with great perspectives from the wolf side of the characters. now i'm going to go read all of his other books.

This is hard to rate.
It was horror
I was bored
But intriguing
I want to continue, but also don't care too much...

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this book. Not sure what, entirely, I was expecting upon going into it. Whatever they were though, this book veered off in a completely different direction and I kind of appreciate that. It's a very different approach to what I'm used to seeing in werewolf novels, and that was refreshing in its own right.
I will say, I've not checked yet to see if there's more to this, if the author turned it into a series or anything. Holding out hope that he did, because there are a few loose threads it feels like he left dangling, and I'd kind of like to see them resolved.
Should you find yourself looking for a somewhat chilling book next spooky season that leans more towards horror and you want werewolves, I do recommend this one. Fair warning though: after the last handful of chapters, the word "silver" ceases to hold any and all meaning.

Less romantic side of the werewolf. Strong female character.

It was just meh. Cheyenne is just not a character I can get excited about. There was way, way too much setup, with little devoted to character development. I checked it out from the library and after I renewed it for the third time and still didn't finish it (despite it not being a hefty book), I decided it was time to put this one down.

A bit cliché but overall nice book. It could have probably used an editor, the flow is choppy, and sometimes the story is inconsistent. But the twist on the every night transformation, the lack of cheap romance, part of the plot, made a nice book. I feel this was a very shallow introduction to the characters and I think that next book will be better (hope it doesn't disappoint!).
