Me gustó bastante. Me gusta el hecho de que la serie sea como los libros porque me había desilusionado con los libros de "The Vampire Diaries" porque no eran para nada parecidos a la serie, que a mi me encanta. Tampoco tendría que comparar, pero es más fuerte que yo. Los voy a seguir leyendo a ver que tal.
I am a fan PLL since I saw the first episode of the series (shame on me because I saw the movie before reading the books, but it is) and I wanted so much to have that wonderful books in my library. Indeed the books have raised to my expectations ...they were wonderful and amazingly well written .. I was kept in suspense throughout them and they made me want more ..

I enjoyed the book although because I had already watched the TV series I found it sort of slow. I did enjoy it enough to continue on to the next books in the series!

Here's my problem. If you have seen the TV show, pass on this book. There's nothing here that isn't in the series. I suspect I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I hadn't seen the show first, but the show is what drew me to these books in the first place. I doubt I would have heard of them without Netflix recommending the show to me, so this really feels like a let down. Still, the story is great. The writing is solid. Excellent even. I will go on to read the rest of the series. Hopefully I will get ahead of the show and enjoy the other books more.

while sara shepard is no ocean vuong or sally rooney, she does have a very strong voice! okay, laugh all you want. but these books have tone and they have style. she’s just really funny with it. and the story is so entertaining and hard to put down. i have seen the show countless times and have read these books before (at least 6 years ago, but still) and find myself just as engaged now as i was the first time. my favorite thing about these books is how descriptive shepard is about appearance. that sounds shallow—but narratively, it makes sense! rosewood is a town where appearances are EVERYTHING. so yes, tell me in great detail about hanna’s wedge sandals! it matters! i just think it makes reading these books a visual experience, and that’s a lot of fun. in general, is this pulitzer prize winning literature? no. will it make you smile? yes.

No puedo creer que hayan estirado tanto la trama para sacar más de 10 libros de esto.
I started this book series as I loved the television adaptation but was disappointed with how it ended. The first book in this series starts the same as the show, and centers around four friends left in the wake of their friend and ring-leader’s disappearance. I think that the suspense in this book was great for younger readers and a great introduction to the thriller genre. The storyline is enticing and it made me want to continue on to the next book. The characters are very different from the television show but I was able to differentiate them both in my head and enjoy this story on its own. The secrets that these girls have will have more weight for younger female readers.
