A modern classic in it's own right if you ask me. Sure, it's ridiculous and outrageous (or I was even more boring than I already thought as a teenager) but it just works. I can't really pinpoint why I'm giving it 4 stars, because it is doesn't necessarily contain the best writing or characters, but it's just so entertaining and I flew through it. Even though I know what will happen, I'm excited to read what's next for these (not so) poor girls.

This book mainly follows the first episode of the tv show, but of course with more depth. It's quite easy to follow. The book does a good job at keeping some tension, even if you have seen the show.
