Look, I have nothing to say except c s pacat is a fucking genius and these thirty pages called for more highlighting than the whole of volume one did.

you could just look at rin & silvia's reviews and make out an accurate state of my heart BUT this made me smile so much my heart felt like it was bursting out of my ribcage, so a mini review if you will:
‘No, I—thinking about you and being with you are different, you’re always more powerful, more—’ ‘Go on.’ Damen felt a wellspring of pure pleasure, laughing against his neck. ‘Stop my mouth,’ said Laurent. 'I don’t know what I’m saying.’

I just want to curl up in a ball and stare at this forever because lamen is all I need in life
Laurent plucked a white flower from the low-hanging branches, and lifted his hand to tuck it into Damen’s hair, as if Damen were a youth from the village. ‘Are you courting me?’ said Damen.

I know it speaks for itself but I LIVE FOR THIS SHIT
Laurent’s fingers found his again, a small intimacy that had him overbrimming.

I feel like I should insert a swooning/ fainting gif here because let's be real what else can you say to this it's perfect
‘I’ll take care of your son,’ said Laurent. ‘I’ll protect his kingdom as if it were my own. I’ll give my life for his people.’

I almost cried here but can you blame me
Laurent was unexpectedly laughing, his skin warm as sunlight.

I can die happy now.

The much needed epilogue to the story, a soft epilogue.

I can never get enough of these too! I always enjoy seeing Laurent in a gentle and caring light. Sigh...I could have read another entire book but thankful for any extras.

”Having made the decision to let Damen in, Laurent had not gone back on it. When the walls went up, it was with Damen inside them.”

”He loved the way that Laurent kissed, as if Damen was the only person that he had ever kissed, or would ever want to”

They are everything❤️
