Short, sweet, and tender, this gives a bit of resolution after Kings Rising. There wasn't much to it, which is usually the way with novellas. It could have been added as an extended epilogue, but I did enjoy reading it.

I love this so much. I want to die. Just seeing them happy. Laurent watching the road. (': Talking about how the Veretian soldiers are calling them Exalted because the cultures are starting to blend. It's so beautiful, it's so amazing. My beautiful sons make me so happy. They are everything I want in life and more and reading this was such a joy and blessing and I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH BYYYYYE.

This was pure fluff with a little bit of smut because, let's be real, would it be a Captive Prince story without a little bit of smut?
Damen and Laurent are still two idiots who just love each other so much it makes me want to die.
Was this story absolutely necessary? No. Did it give me any real closure Kings Rising didn't give me? No, not really. But did I enjoy it? Hell yeah I did.
Though Penguin... you might want to have more than one person proofreading. Just saying.
I can never give anything CP related fewer than 5 stars. I just can't.
