I would quote this. I really would. But I'd just end up pasting the whole story here.

My babies are happy, and my life is complete.

This is everything one could ask for. It has the lingering pain and the bliss from the rest of the series, and is the perfect epilogue they deserved.

What will I do, now that it's over?

It’s such a perfect epilogue to the story I’m weeping. I’m a crier in general, and lord knows how much I cried reading the trilogy, but Summer Palace just punched me in the feels all over again. The painful rawness and fledgling tenderness of Damen and Laurent’s relationship, their vulnerability with each other is so beautiful it had me tearing up by the second page.
He reached out and moved a curl of hair from Laurent’s face.
‘Tomorrow, let’s go riding,’ said Damen, thinking of the gift he had already waiting in the stables, a proud five-year-old with a curved neck and a waterfall of mane. He’d lead her out and give her to Laurent, and they’d ride out through fields of wildflowers, the air sweet with summer. When they reached a clearing, Damen would draw their horses together, lean over and kiss him.

Literal tears streaming down my face.

On a less weepy note, I would pay good money to read a separate short-story about Nikandros teaching Laurent wrestling. I mean, can you IMAGINE :D
