Reading this, I had no other emotion in my mind beside "I am So Happy I am Going to Cry" and I did, frequently. It was only, what?, 30 pages, but we got Laurent and Damen laughing, joking around, having absolute fun but also Laurent and making us all whimper and cry over how emotional that was. I also loved Pacat's attention to one detail: The Flower Behind Laurent's Ear. That flower is a true hero. I love that flower. We got another glimpse of Laurent being raw and honest with his emotions and words. It probably took so much of him to during Prince's Gambit. Also, I absolute love Damen so much, I could never ask for a better narrator. I don't know what else to write... This has put its hand into my chest and tickled my heart, this made everything in the world seem rosy, this short story is the best short story, Pacat saved my life, these are all things I've thought of and probably yelled aloud (at my friends, I'm so sorry.)

I went into this not knowing quite what to expect because Pacat is fantastic at keeping us on our toes, but knowing it would be quality. What I didn't expect, and didn't realise I needed, was complete and total closure. This short story left me as a bucket of feels and I'm so grateful Pacat has given us this.

That feeling when you get movie theatre popcorn and then dump a bag of peanut M&M's on top and they sink to the bottom and get all warm and delicious when you finally dig them out. Perfection.
This was pretty terrible. I saw some people talking about Laurent learning to wrestle in this story and thought it sounded like fun shenanigans. I was wrong. That's about two sentences. Everything else about it was just Damen marveling at how pretty Laurent is. Also, I caught a couple of typos in it while reading, which says terrible things about the editing and care put into the story.
Solid short stories about other characters as well as Damen and Laurent. I really have to read them all back to back for me to have a feeling for the characters again
