I really enjoyed this book. It had the flavor of a Jane Austen chase with all of the froth and bubble, with the added mystery and chase of a good fantasy novel. I particularly enjoyed the allegory throughout regarding reproductive rights. It had something to say and said it well without making me feel like it was beating me over the head with it. The main characters felt real, their choices made sense- even if at times frustrating and it was a good distracting romp which was exactly what I wanted from the book.

My only complaint is that I have finished it and no idea whether there will be a sequel.

I love the story still as much with this audio reread as with the first time reading it. Moira Quirk does a brilliant job brining Beatrice and Nadi to life. The story is still as infuriating and hopeful the second time around and I cannot recommend this book enough.
