SOLID
This was a solid, if not particularly mind-blowing, Dame Agatha mystery. It has one of Agatha's best openings but suffers from the lack of a clear protagonist. However, Dame Agatha manages to pull it all together at the end with a clever plot twist. My enjoyment was greatly enhanced by a superb narration from Hugh Fraser.

Graphic: Death, Racial slurs, Murder
Not my favorite in terms of resolution, but it is definitely one of Christie's more psycho analytical novels.

For Christie this was a pretty average book. A lot of it was regurgitated information or outdated views but still worth a read, especially as she continues with her not so traditional choice of detectives.

A fun read, but....
some horrible sentiments about adoption, and some bits verge on eugenics. Hard to say if these repeated ideas can be brushed off as 'of their time'
