So much nostalgia! I pulled this out for our Read Across America Day display at the Library and realized this is one of the books I very clearly associate with my early childhood and beginning to read.
I really liked this one. It is sad that the boys dad is trying to squelch his imagination, but that can be used as a good conversation starter with older kids.

My first Dr. Seuss book ever! I didn't know what to expect, so I just started reading and finished it after a couple of minutes. I can't wait to read other books by Dr. Seuss.

Much more restrained and realistic than a lot of Seuss's books, this is a really enjoyable story of a boy's imagination run wild. Good fun!
