This story follows Caleb’s life after the Wildflower duet, during which he meets a young woman and falls in love. I loved the Wildflower duet and was so excited to hear that we would be getting Caleb’s book. Let me say that I was not at all disappointed with this story. It has everything one would expect. I loved the different ways of healing and seeing the community help Halle and her brothers. The pacing of the story was great and different conflicts to keep a reader entertained. This book is told from Halle and Caleb’s pov.
Halle is the FMC and I love how strong she is with limited resources. She’s caring and her love for her brother is strong. I loved seeing her grow and being able to live especially as she’s young. Then we have Caleb and I just loved his character. He’s every woman’s dream but after his divorce and his fights with his parents, he’s struggling to not feel lonely. There are many side characters in this book and we do get to see Thayer and Salem again. The romance in this book is he falls first, slow burn, and friends to lovers with lots of yearning.
The ending was well done and overall I really loved this book. It was well written and for some reason I feel like we might get another book from this world. Either Thayer’s brother or one of the twins. I do recommend reading the duet first because it would help you understand the story a lot more.

Many thanks to Micalea and Valentine PR for the eARC and the opportunity to read Caleb’s story.
I enjoyed this one for the most part. I thought this was going to be a solid 4 star read, but around the 60% mark, the story started to drag a bit for me. I think the problem I had lied with the fact that even after that much of the book, the character development just wasn’t hitting. Caleb’s character had this massive savior complex that became excessive, and Halle was so strong-willed. While these things alone aren’t necessarily bad things for the characters, after 60% of the book you would think that their characters would show more growth than they did. I also felt that their romantic chemistry fell flat a bit for me. There were moments when it was good, and moments when it just felt a bit off, almost forced.
Honestly my favorite part of this book though might be that I enjoyed seeing Thayer and Salem again so much! Also seeing Caleb with his daughter and the dynamic between him, Thayer and Salem was so fun to revisit.
Overall I was really glad to read Caleb’s and enjoyed it. I thought it was a good read! I still definitely recommend, especially if you love the original duet. It was great to see all the characters and have Caleb find happiness!

**ARC REVIEW**
Oh to be back in the world of wildflowers!!!
this newest installment in the wildflowers series takes you back to hawthorne mills with thayer, salem, and of course- CALEB. 😍 then we meet halle, his new next door neighbor who has dealt with her fair share of shit and is looking for a fresh start as the now-guardian of her younger twin brothers. i loved the instant sparks between caleb and halle, and totally loved the found family vibes that all the stories in this series bring. one thing that wasn’t my favorite was how often halle talking down on herself/doubting EVERYTHING, especially in her relationship; as it just got kind of stale at times. (but like… i also understand it based on her past) BUT caleb’s “savior complex” worked for him here and helped with this a lot. i also loved that there is a huge helping of third-act drama but NO third-act breakup!!!
if you’ve read the wildflowers series i do think it’s worth it to check this one out too!! there’s spice, great tropes, amazing characters- and it’s out everywhere NOW! 💜🌸🧑🧑🧒 thank you to Valentine PR and the author for providing this ARC for me to read and review!

I’m glad Caleb got a book and we could see all three of them co parent like a well oiled machine (that’s something that’s missing in single parent books most of the time, sometimes exes aren’t evil!). I liked the Salem and Thayer crumbs. I know that Caleb was all in from the beginning, but it still felt like it was a rush for them to get married . The third act could have still been the same without rushing down the aisle . Like imagine the third act drama being the reason she can confront her feelings. Cliched and over done, maybe? But it would work for a character like Halle, not knowing when to say those three words until it might be too late. But whatever, no one consulted me on it

"In many ways, I'm a stereotypical eldest daughter, which means I loathe the very thought of requesting help. If I can't figure it out, I'll die trying."
After reading the first two books in this series, I knew I needed to read this one. Plus, the cover is gorgeous and instantly caught my eye. This was everything I wanted and more. The only issue I had was that, while I saw a lot of myself in Halle, I didn't like the constant second-guessing. Sometimes it seemed to be too repetitive.
"You sound like you could use a cupcake, and I happen to have some at home."
Caleb was definitely a fixer, which should have clashed with Halle, but it didn't. He was exactly what she needed at exactly the right time. And by the way, the sweet, innocent man isn't so innocent in certain situations. The mouth on that man made me fan myself more than once!
I loved Casen and Quinn, they were hysterical. The way that they wanted to make sure Halle was okay made me smile. Also, their relationship with Thelma and Cynthia was amazing. I loved how those two old ladies took the twins under their wings. They made sure they stayed out of trouble, and they taught them to crochet!! I love it
"I'm not sure I could survive losing you."
I liked that we got to see Thayer and Salem and how their relationship grew. But also, how their relationship with Caleb was. I do hope that Laith gets his own book. The man is a mystery, and I need to know that he finds true happiness.
