Theodore is my son

Probably one of my favourite books of all time! I fell in love with Maryas island and it’s wonderful inhabitants. A fantastic story with a beautiful message.

Now that finished it, I wish I could wipe my memory of it and just leave the knowledge that it feels so good to read it, to experience it again.

Sometimes a family is a Phoenix, a social worker, their six magic children, and a very fussy cat.

This book is charmingly delightful. I don't think I can quite describe how this book made me feel but it's somewhat like a warm hug. Or that feeling when you're curled up in a fluffy blanket in your favourite chair with a cup of hot chocolate. Pure perfection.

I completely fell in love  with all the characters. So many different characters, each vastly different. Lucy, Theodore, Sal, Phee, Chauncey and Talia have such vivid personalities and individuality. I adored all of them but Chauncey is my favourite character. The green blob is a literal ball of sunshine. So pure!! Another one would be Lucy.
