Well this is the book that touched me the most this year I’d say !!! So emotional, so warm, so heartlifting… just in dilemma knowing where the author got the source for the story from. So I’m gonna leave this unrated, otherwise it’s an easy 5 star based on reading enjoyment alone
One of the sweetest & best books I’ve read in a while. Want it to be a Pixar movie.
There’s no other way to put it: this book was such a delight. Beautifully written, magical, funny, sweet. What I needed to read, and at the right moment.

“Mrs. Klapper scoffed. ‘Perhaps you should consider making time, Mr. Baker. Being alone at your age isn’t healthy. I’d hate to think of what would happen if you were to blow your brains out. It’d hurt the resale value of the whole neighborhood.’
‘I’m not depressed!’
She looked him up and down. ‘You aren’t? Why on earth not?’”
“A home isn't always the house we live in. It's also the people we choose to surround ourselves with.”
V. E. Schwab said this is like being wrapped in a big gay blanket, and I agree.
