This was just kinda perfect. Emile is top tier book boyfriend. The way he loved and cared for Christian was the most romantic thing ever. I laughed, I swooned, I cried, 5 star goodness right here.

Story: 2.75/5
Audio: 10/5 (!!)

So, hear me out. The only two reasons I bought this were Teddy Hamilton and James Joseph (aka Joe Jameson from Boyfriend Material) - AND NO REGRETS.

The story was mediocre at best, it had almost no drama, it had nothing to do with reality but holy shit was it entertaining! James Joseph's narration is absolute gold and Teddy Hamilton trying and completely failing to do a British accent was the funniest thing I've listened to in a while. There are so many really bad voice actors/narrator's but these two (especially James Joseph) could probably read phone books and I'd listen gladly.

A solid pleasant book. It's a small story, fairly straightforward, with adorable characters who prioritize each other (even when we don't really understand why Emile likes Christian). The family drama is so cartoonish that the book actually feels low angst.

Skipped most of the story, so you could say I dnf.
It felt very far fetched. The whole set up and how very, very fast the MCs fell for each other/got each other felt too unrealistic to enjoy.
It felt more like a “how do I get the MCs to do each other as soon as possible” scenario. First get-together at 23 %.
Christian, the clumsy one, felt like a twink from how he behaved and spoke, but he was meant to be a hunk. He's an actor and yet he couldn't use his acting abilities to get through life.
Emile is the rich boy who almost instantly falls for Christian when he helps him out in the wedding-situation, having quite some fun. Although he just came from his beloved grandfather's wake.
The group of friends Christian lives with had to make an entrance before chapter 3 - it felt like a big intro "see, those are the MCs for books 2 onwards". All of them kind of quirky. Nothing against it, but it felt too obviously an indicator of what to come.
The cover is great though :-)
