such a fun read!

I was in the mood to read some Saxon James and this book was in my tbr FOREVER and I finally decided to jump in.

I gave this book 5⭐️ because I loved it and had such a great time reading it and getting to know these characters. The found family is always my favorite part of any mm romance book. There is something so special about the bonds people have with each other and especially when characters have families that are absolutely trash so they make their own with love and acceptance in it.

Of course I enjoyed the fake Husband aspect of this book too. Getting to see these characters fall in love over time while getting to know each other and be so open about their lives and feelings creates for a perfect match. They never once shied away from the bad parts of their lives or their “flaws”. The proved to everyone that they deserve to be together and will fight tooth and nail to make it happen.

Yes – it's true. I'm on a Sadenverse rampage and I just can't seem to stop!

So, is this my favourite book from it? Nope, it's not.
Did I have a great 24 hours devouring it? Absolutely.

I found it pretty easy to relate to Christian's character and how he isn't the most confident person, given how life has treated him up to now. But Émile was a bit more difficult, what with his whole rich-boy drama.

Their relationship was super cute and their spicy scenes were hot.

I would have loved to watch Elle and Émile lose it on their parents and grandma. I think it was important to have that talk with his family to make sure he felt free from their toxic influence and put them in their place.

Very quirky and unrealistic characters, but I liked it.

The plot is actually decent, in a hallmark kind of way.

What I cannot get over is the ridiculously immature way these grown men talk. Normalizing men being comfortable with emotion doesn’t mean they should talk like high school girls.

Dive into a deeply moving LGBTQIA+ romance perfect for readers who crave stories brimming with emotional intensity and authentic explorations of identity. This novel delves into the complexities of self-discovery as the protagonists navigate the uncharted territories of unconventional relationships. Prepare to be swept away by the raw and relatable portrayal of love blossoming in the midst of personal ambition, where life's messy realities collide with the undeniable power of unexpected connection and enduring hope.

The Husband Hoax kicks off the Accidental Love series with a hilarious, heartfelt, and trope-filled romance that had me grinning from start to finish.

We follow Christian, adorable, clumsy, and full of anxious energy, as he returns to see his family for the first time in ten years. He’s bracing for awkward reunions and emotional landmines… and then he crashes into Émile. Rich, guarded, and armed with a swoony British accent, Émile is in town for his grandfather’s funeral and doing everything he can to not deal with his own family.

What starts as a chance encounter quickly turns into a full-blown fake marriage situation. Émile agrees to be Christian’s plus-one for a wedding, and cue the chaos: fake dating, marriage of convenience, found family feels, cake-mageddon, and one very frantic taco hunt.

This book is everything I love: witty banter, emotional depth, and two MCs who couldn’t be more different but somehow fit so perfectly.
