Wanted a mind numbing pride month series to dive into, and this did the job. Pros - Emile was so sweet and Christian was very pure. Their relationship made sense. Cons - the lack of communication regarding sex, the no condom moment, and the fake third act breakup that was so stupid. Also unfortunately the British narrator’s American accent needs a lot more work. Made him sound like a nervous 10 year old boy. To hear his voice then Teddy Hamilton was a mind fuck.

Not enough really happened between the two MCs for me to really believe they genuinely loved one another. I definitely felt that each cared about the situation the other was in, but the length they'd go for one another to get them out of their situation seemed a little too farfetched even though the overall tone of the book was lighthearted anyway. The sexual chemistry was there, but not enough meat to the narrative to provide much needed emotional depth for my liking. it was nice, it was fluffy, but the writing isn't there for me to add this to my list of revisitable fluffy reads.
