This was a beautiful poly story and really well executed by Briar Prescott. Goodness, I love the way Briar writes.
There were some parts of the story that are not exactly to my reading taste, but the way they're written in this book made me not mind them as much.

I have to hand it to Briar Prescott - for her to be able to write something with multiple things I normally don't like, but to make it so that I love the story overall shows great skill.

MMM tropes are hard to ensure all 3 people have an equal emotional connection but Briar Prescott has succeeded! Drew and Bas were so in love and had so much history but they could not truly be comfortable as a couple or communicate effectively without adding Ezra in to the mix. Thi si snot a steamy book so if that is what you are expecting, this is not the book for you but if you are looking for a real emotional connection, you are in the right place.

I loved this book. It's only the third poly book I've read. For a long time, I was convinced that I wouldn't enjoy a love story involving more than two people. Man, I was wrong. It feels weird when you realize you've soaked up society's normativity nonsense, despite hating it. But breaking free from that? What a fantastic feeling!

Another reason I read this book was the fact that one of the main characters, Bas, is Ace. I'm always so happy to see ace representation in books. It took me so long to figure out that I was Ace because there was hardly any ace representation when I was in my teens and twenties. I can relate to so many things Bas says.

“Hugs. I like hugging. Hugs are underrated, really. They’re great for comfort, sure, but they’re also great just as hugs. Nothing has to be wrong to hug somebody. Holding each other just for the sake of it…”

So good❤
A book about 3 men who fit, find love, and forge a future together.

What I loved...

1. Drew: The handsome lawyer who is desperately in love with his best friend Bas. #BiggestHeart

2. Bas: The moody musical prodigy who is also in desperately in love with his best Friend Drew. #WhoAmIWithoutYou

3. Ezra: The college student and the man who brings them all together. #TheBestPartOfUs

4. Three men who balance each other out, each bringing something special to the relationship. #ItsUs

5. Angst-o-meter: Low angst. #BecauseImHappy

6. Romance and smiles.... #ThroughTheRoof

6. Steam-o-meter: Lowish steam and for good reason. I know that people would read MMM and low steam and would be like: DOES NOT COMPUTE. But it is for good reason, with the relationship takig center stage, and it's refreshing. #WhatWorksForUs

7. HEA: The sweetest, swooniest HEA #LeSigh

This was such an emotional and heartbreaking romance. It was filled with so much longing and love and there were elements that tore me to pieces. MMM can be challenging, to say the least, but this one wasn't overly complicated, it never felt forced and it was beautiful in execution.

All 3 men were unique in their personalities and individual challenges. They complimented each other so well. I loved the endless support but I also really appreciated how the author never made it feel like it was toxically positive. They faced obstacles, they argued, they felt weak, they felt isolated but they always came back together. They communicated and encouraged each other.

This was not a spicy book but what wasn't present in heat was made up for by the powerful connections between Ezra, Bas and Drew. They found a home with each other, all their pieces fit together. I cried, I swooned, I fell in love!!

4.5 stars rounded up.
This one was really good. I really enjoyed the plot building in the first half, it really drove home the three separate character histories and what makes them tick. It was interesting that the guy with the most money growing up and least toxic relationship with his parents also had such a negative impact from parental neglect even though they had money. Just shows that everyone has their own history, and money doesn't buy happiness.
Steamy times were not super frequent but the romance certainly was. I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a less graphic MM.
