They were in love in 10 days. 10 days!! I get that romance books normally aren’t realistic, but wow this went from hate to “let’s get married” way too fast. Overall story was fine. Spice was good and there was quite a bit of it.

Clint is set on revenge. After the sudden loss of his father, Clint sets his target on the one he deems responsible for his loss. For a man that has himself pretty well together, his world has been thrown off balance. He’s hard worker, loyal to his family and caring man. Clint is truly one of the good ones. However his plot for revenge may not be what his thought it is. Clint learns that you can’t judge the book by its cover, you have to get both sides of the story to truly know what’s going on. His plan is in play but when his plan turns on him, Clint opens his eyes wide for and sees something much better than revenge.

Bethany never believed the stories about her father. But then first hand she saw the absolute ruthlessness that the man who gave her life was truly capable of. One minute life is grand and the next Bethany’s professional career is going down the drain while her personal life has just felt like an earthquake exploded from within her. With the help of her brothers and sister Bethany tries to move on and generally lay low while the mess her father created and put her through works itself out. I honestly think Bethany was not even sure who she was anymore. With the help of her wonderful siblings, a tropical paradise and a man who’s got his head twisted help Bethany saves the day and herself.

More Than Tempt You, the latest book from Shayla Black’s More Than Words Series is an emotional whirlwind that will have you holding your breath while keeping you on the edge. Clint and Bethany truly surprised me. If you have read prior books in the series, Bethany has not been painted as the most beautiful character. I would’ve never guessed that she goes as deep as what she does. Bethany is a kind soul and she more than showed it. Clint is a family man at heart and I love that about him. As hard as he tried to be cold hearted, once he saw things may not be what they appeared, his heart wanted to embrace and his mind just had to catch up. People so wrapped in their emotions learn so much more once they let the guard down a bit. Getting that guard to come down was the fun or the hard part depending on how you look at it. Clint and Bethany found their way into my heart and I’m sure, given the chance, they will for you as well.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again there is something about the More Than Words Series that just gets to me. I feel so inside of our main character head with each book. It’s so personal and intimate. In a way they are bearing their souls. Music plays a huge part of the stories. For me music is a big part of my life so it allows me to connect with the story on another level. Music and emotions go hand and hand and Ms. Black shows readers just how deep with each story of the series.

More Than Tempt You is a beautiful edition to the More Than Words Series.

When you are left with nothing but hatred and more questions than answers you sometimes come up with a plan that may or may not work. Clint needed to find Bethany in order to get the answers to his family's money problems, but his plan for revenge suddenly does not seem all that important when he finds himself falling for his nemesis. With a beautifully written story Shayla Black has done it again. She creates characters her readers cannot help but fall in love with while her storyline locks you in from the opening pages. This was the best book of the series.

The More Than Words series is Shayla Black at her best--and this book is absolutely my favorite of the series so far. The premise--healing through revenge--is a wrenching and time-honored one, given new life in this story--and then new layers when Clint Holmes has to pile on a fake identity to accomplish his goal. From the start, we already know this isn't going to go well for the poor guy, who ends up falling hard for the woman he's come to Maui to destroy. Beth Banks is working through a boatload of conflict of her own, and believes that life has finally given her a break in the form of the handsome, humble bartender for whom she's fallen in love. As a reader, it was riveting for me to be rooting for Clint one second but wanting to deck him the next. Black has woven some gorgeous ironies into the overall themes of this plot. Beth has come to an island because she perceives herself as one, only to reconnect to the world through a love she never expected. And the bigger gut punch: that Clint has to catch a liar by perpetuating a lie himself, risking the honesty and truth of a love he never expected either. There's so much to dig into here, meaning this is a read for those of us who want some deep human truths layered into our romance--and proving exactly why Shayla Black is one of the undisputed queens of the genre.

This is the Shayla Black that I know & love! Characters that have major flaws & are trying to make past mistakes right (Beth). Clint was a guy you could root for. His grief was real & his take on revenge was not too over the top. An emotional, sexy read.

I enjoyed the plot of this book and couldn't wait to see where things would go between Bethany and Clint. It was dramatic and extremely rocky! It started out strong and left me worrying for both of the main characters. The more time Beth and Clint spent together, the more the original intentions became blurred and feelings started taking over logic.

These two main characters had a sweet chemistry, but one of both was always on guard due to their pasts. This slowed down the romance and made their connection stronger.

I did feel like there were entirely too many characters introduced and it became extremely confusing keeping track of who belonged to which family and who was married to who.

I felt like the end of the story was a bit rushed and completely unrealistic, given how the entire first 90% of the story went down. I was happy with the HEA but gave this read a 3/5 stars rating due to the sudden rushed ending and somewhat dire attempt that the hero made to keep the heroine. It just seemed so forced and far fetched and didn't flow with the rest of the read.

Clint and Beth have an amazing love story from page one! Again Shayla brings emotion and passion to each page and their love story unfolds. I was wondering how this story would work coming from Clint's POV but it works perfectly. Both Clint and Beth must over come their own tragic moments from the past to move on to love. But will their love over come the secrets both have kept? You will have to read to find out! This is another amazing story in the Reed family saga!
