I'm rather amazed that this series is still going strong at book five. So many authors can't seem to make fantasy series last beyond a trilogy, but this is still just as good! Looking forward to the final book!

I love this series because it has the ability to suck me into the world of Anita/Tania and just get away for a day while I read it.

Premise- (3/5) I admit, this is a series I felt could've been ended after book 3. But I've liked the first four books fine, and so I wasn't about to stop there. I wanted to see the plague cured and follow Tania's journey to save Faerie.
Characters- (2.5/5) I miss a lot of the characters left behind in Faerie. I liked Tania's sisters and Oberon and Titania, and I don't much like Edric or Connor. I like Rathina and Tania, but we didn't meet too many new characters and those we did meet were somewhat underdeveloped. The Green Witch could've been really interesting, but then just...wasn't. There just weren't many characters I really liked/who caught my interest.
Plot- (1/5) I know the point of this book was about the journey, but it was extremely frustrating for the reader to follow Tania through her whole journey and still not have an answer. And I have to say, I was not impressed with the ending. *spoiler* I'm sort of annoyed Tania went back to being Anita. Now she has to rediscover Faerie all over again. I'm going to read the last book, but I sincerely hope it's not a lot of Tania thinking her parents are crazy as they try to explain Faerie to her. As for the rest of the plot, not really impressed by that either. I saw Connor's betrayal coming for miles. A lot of this journey felt repetitive; we've already had the journey thing done in the last book.
World- (3.5/5) The world created in these books is very compelling. The only problem is that it's starting to get a little repetitive, like Jones can't figure out how else to fill her books beyond world building. And don't get me wrong, world building is great, and Jones does a really great job of it, but it's starting to become a little much.
Writing- (3/5) I really do enjoy Jones' writing style. Her descriptions are beautiful, and I love the slight disconnect between Tania and her Mortal World knowledge and her sisters' Faerie world. (Though we got much less of that in this book). Her writing is pretty, but that can only take her so far.
Overall- (2.6/5 mathematically) Overall, I like this series, but Jones needs to pick it up. This book felt repetitive and sort of pointless, and I hope the conclusion is better.
