This starts out kinda slow and with a lot of info about this whole window display contest deal that has Dash all twisted up inside.
BUT
Once you get passed that and get the POV of Nik, things pick up and get really good.
This is more fantasy and kinda, for me at least read a bit like a shifter novel and once you get your head around that... this gets really sticky sweet and sexy.
So, Nik aka Niklaus Kringle, yeah one of THOSE Kringles, is looking for his misplaced sleigh that his adorably mischievous team of reindeer have decided to hide. It’s a good thing for Nik, the sleigh end ups in the Reindeer Games shop of one handsome ginger with sliver eyes named Dashing von Stride.
Sigh.
I don’t want to spoil this sweet story but if you believe in bonds, in knowing your mate the second you lay eyes on them and the unbelievable pull of “OMG I FUCKING WANT YOU NOW AND I DON’T KNOW WHY!!!”, then you might just like this story.
For me, I loved that Nik knew Dash’s history and wanted to show Dash who he really was. I adored that Dash took Nik at his word and though he questioned it a few times, it was this insane feeling that he trusted and thank goodness for me he did.
Nik and Dash were all Christmassy and romantic and Dash’s window display… I could see that perfectly and it was breathless in its beauty.
This was adorable and that cover does go with the story but there are no reindeer having sexy times in the story. The reindeer on the cover is just a brat but she was too cute to stay mad at for long.
I know, I am rambling but with the rough start I had with this, I was SO happy that I caught on and was able to really enjoy the story.

We'll cal is serendipity. And reindeer games - both literally and figuratively.

A fun, whimsical christmas story that I enjoyed. I could almost see it in cartoon form as I was reading. Or as a snow globe! Definitely a fab festive read - 3.5*
I liked how Dash and Nik were intrinsically tied to the North Pole even though Dash didn't know. Reign, Pumpkin and Tinsel were fun characters - getting them all into and out of trouble.
There was a baddie but nothing sinister - unless wanting to win the shop window comp is sinister!
I would have really like it if Dash hadn't gone quite so soppy towards the end - I think he could have been played equally well as more of his own man than swooning boy.
6.10.21 reread - fun take on the whole Santa, elves, reindeer thing
