Book club read - Felt it was fairly obvious how all the characters would connect, but I needed to finish to see exactly how it would all play out. A book centered around child victims isn’t something I would have picked up and found it difficult to read at times due to that. I’m finding it hard to rate. Unsure if I was sensitive to the premise or just wasn’t a fan of the book.

I liked this book and it read very quickly but the writing was very elementary and felt like someone googling how a veteran would feel after war or how a drug addict might act or how a gun works. The plot points are extremely easily guessed and it read like YA, maybe it was YA but I didn’t realize that before reading it. Could have been more tense and more interesting.
