One of the best books I've ever read! Would recommend to anyone at all.
I really like this trilogy. It's definitely worth reading.
This just wasn't the series for me. Apparently I need to know I'm going to really like a trilogy before I start though, because I will finish it no matter what.
ESTA TRILOGÍA ESTÁ MUY INFRAVALORADA Y TODOS ESTAMOS PREPARADOS PARA ESTA CONVERSACIÓN. Cuando arranqué a leerlo, sabía que iba a ser buena porque me pasó algo que nunca me había pasado: me caía mal el protagonista. Todd se me hacía INSOPORTABLE, se me hacía el típico chico que se queja de todo lo que le pasa en la vida. Pero cuando la historia avanza y aparece Viola, ahí me empezó a caer mejor porque me di cuenta que tenía un corazón de oro y sólo era un poco bruto en sus acciones. La historia en general está cargada de misterio. Un consejo: no den nada por sentado. Cuando piensan que todo está tranquilo, pasa algo y se vuelve a ir todo al carajo. No se puede confiar en ningún personaje. Patrick Ness logra transmitir esa incertidumbre y traición que sienten los protagonistas muy bien y logra que el lector se sienta parte de la historia. El tercer libro es el más sublime de todos. La historia se vuelve más intensa, se cierran varios conflictos, y como dije antes: cuando parece que al fin todo volvió a la normalidad, BOOM, vuela(n) todo(s) por los aires. El final me dejó con la boca abierta, con el corazón a mil y con un vació tremendo. 100% recomendado.

I've read quite a few YA dystopian series' and this is by my favorite. The juxtaposition of the future and the past and the struggles with identity set this book up well. There's suspense until the very end, as I found myself wondering what would happen with less than forty pages left. Fantastic read.
A bit traditional for a space sci-fi
Great story, with cool characters and western/sci-fi vibe. I also love a good dystopia for sure. I enjoyed the broad scope and epic journey from farmhouse in a countryside to bustling city to the frontline in a war. One complaint I have is that despite being presumably in the distant future and set on an alien word, it generally works within the confines of heteronormativity and relatively strict gender binary (of course the author matches up a strong-willed girl and a gentle boy but we all know that's not that interesting). The other difficulty for me is that each character sticks to their "thing" a bit too much imo. I enjoyed the ending and the aspects regarding medicine, wartime strategies, and settler colonialism vs indigeneity and assimilation.

J'ai lu "Le chaos en marche" dans ma démarche de "je lis tous les bouquins qui vont sortir au ciné qui m'intéressent" (l'adaptation se fait avec Daisy Ridley bon sang, je l'imagine pas du tout en Viola avec Tom Holland, bref). En plus, c'est un Patrick Ness et son "A Monster Calls" m'avait plus que convaincue.
Avec cette "trilogie" (si on peut appeler ça une trilogie vu qu'il y a une édition complète qu'on trouve facilement et qui se lit comme un long livre), j'ai pas eu vraiment l'impression de lire un livre pour jeunes adultes. Ça m'a fait penser à "La stratégie Ender" avec le côté "les héros sont des gamins mais clairement les thématiques ne sont pas pour les gamins". Le concept est super intéressant, ça donne lieu à des questionnements sur le sexisme, le racisme, avec une vision pas du tout manichéenne. C'était vraiment bien écrit et alors même que je déteste le "un chapitre, un point de vue", l'auteur a réussi à rendre intéressant l'utilisation du point de vue interne. Ça se lit facilement (mais pas vite haha) et me fait dire "vivement le film !".
