More like 3 stars but I was so disapointed with the ending so thats why I rated it only 2 stars.

This book seemed to have so much packed into a few pages. It could have been it’s own trilogy. A whole plot of Sarah’s past that is interesting enough that I wish it could explored in more detail.

Audio: It's rare that I say this, but this narrator was horrible. Like nails on a chalkboard, horrible. I do not recommend the audio.

Story: My Top 3 Reader Pet Peeves:
~ Ship-jumping halfway into or near the end of a series.
~ Throwing the first love interest under the bus to justify the second love interest and the new ship.
Spoiler~ Allegiant style endings.

This was guilty of all three.

So much potential. Wasted. A good idea ruined by poor execution. Too much babbling inside her own head instead of building the supporting characters. They basically stood by and did nothing. Flimsy explanations and reactions that seemed out of character based on the small bits the reader was given.

That ending! AHHHHH! This was somewhat of a satisfying ending to the Mila 2.0 series. The problem that I had was that there was so much time between reading the first and second books and then reading this book that I had forgotten a lot of the key points from the other books. If you haven't read this series, I recommend reading it back to back.

I listened to the audiobook version of the book and it took awhile for me to get used to the narrator's voice. She didn't sound like how I imagined Mila would sound. But, after awhile, I got used to it and was able to enjoy the book.

Overall, I enjoyed the ending, but it still left a lot of unanswered questions. We are left to our own imaginations as to if the inevitable happens. I liked this series as a whole. The exploration of android versus human was interesting and I liked the bio ethical questions that this series tried to address. I recommend this series to fans of android stories and sci-fi.
