Steamy

This book had me laughing and could feel the love coming from the words in the book. This book is full of alpha men and love and very steamy sex. Family that love each other.

I cannot get enough of Aurora Rose Reynolds series of the Mayson Family. This one, Until Jax is amazing. This book picks up where Until July leaves off, Jax finding his "boom" when he least expects it and in an unusual situation. Ellie comes with baggage, and Jax, being a Mayson man is more than happy to take it all on. I love that these books come with just the right amount of angst, romance, and suspense to keep you wanting to continue the series.

Roger Wayne and Jillian Macie are an incredible narration team and keep my earbuds on. Now off to Until June!

Until Jax is said to be the first book in the Until Him series from Aurora Rose Reynolds. While this one is supposed to be a standalone, I would recommend reading the first book in the Until Her series (Until July) before reading this one. I am not sure exactly what the deal is here since the characters are all interconnected and Until Jax picks up right after the end of Until July. It was a bit confusing since they are technically shown to be from a different series. Until Jax and Until July are both spin-offs of the Until series, and feature the children of those characters. These books can be read without having read the Until series, but I would still recommend reading Until July before starting Until Jax.

Ellie Anthony wasn't looking for a relationship, but when she meets Jax Mayson everything changes. Jax knows from the moment that he meets Ellie that he will do whatever it takes to protect her and her daughter Hope. Ellie knows that the feelings she is developing for Jax are happening really fast, and she has more than just herself to think about. However Jax is determined to show her that he loves her and Hope and wants them to be his family forever. But Ellie and Jax both have things from their pasts that they will have to face in order to find a way to be together.

I really loved Jax and Ellie here. It was so clear that these two had a connection right away. But I loved that Hope was also such a huge part of that. Jax was sweet and protective, and seeing him with his girls was absolutely adorable. Hope had him wrapped around her finger, and they were so cute together. Ellie was great with him as well, and I really loved their chemistry. Ellie was so strong and the fact that she took care of Hope at such a young age was so admirable. She always put her little girl first, and I loved that they had such a great bond. Seeing that they had a similar relationship to the one that Jax had with his mom, it really made it that much sweeter. Family is what we choose to make it, and it just goes to show that love is what means family, not always blood.

The one thing that is common with these books from Aurora Rose Reynolds is the fact that they each center around insta-love, or what she calls the BOOM. Since that is known beforehand, I never let it bother me. But if that is something that drives you crazy, just be aware of that before starting. The connections all feel so real and natural though that I don't even really notice it. The other thing I will say here though is that I would keep in mind the issue about this one being a standalone. You can read this one as a standalone if you are willing to stick with the story, as things are eventually explained. But the beginning is very confusing if you haven't read Until July, and it definitely feels like you are being thrown into the middle of a story already in progress. That is why I really recommend reading that book before this one. I had read Until July before reading Until Jax, and even I had to go back and read the last bit of Until July to refresh myself on the situation as it had been so long and I couldn't remember what had happened. I was confused and felt like I had missed a few chapters of the story here, but once I read the end of Until July it all came back to me. I think that these books are good stories and are definitely worth the read though. I will definitely read more from Aurora Rose Reynolds in the future, and I am really looking forward to getting more of the secondary characters and the stories that were set up here, especially Sage and Kim's.

“Devour life without chewing, and pray that you don't choke.”

What can I say? I'm in love with Aurora Rose Reynolds’ books… She can't do wrong if you're asking me. Until Jax just proved my point. I'm in book heaven. I just love her writing and characters. If you finish a book of her, you just think, you actually know them.

Okay, so I'll stop my swooning for a few minutes to tell you what I loved about Until Jax.

We got to know Elli in ‘Until July’, when she was kidnapped and sold by her own mother. After Jax and his family saved her, she has no other option than to get her cute little daughter, Hope, and move in with Jax until the bad guys are locked away. So far, so good.

Jax used to laugh, when his dad and uncles told him about the ‘BOOOM’. Well, that was until he saved Elli. When he first laid eyes on her he was done for. He can't let her out of his sight again and will do everything to keep her and Hope save.

“She's mine. She may not understand it-hell, I don't even know if I understand it-but she was made for me.”

I loved how Jax is yet another “I take no bullshit” alpha male and gets his woman (and daughter). The three of them are so good together I read the whole book in one sitting. Hope is the funniest 3yo ever. She's knows how to get what she wants and wraps Jax around her little finger quickly.

YAY another spin off series!

Until Jax was just as good as the previous books in all of the Until series. Jax is Lilly and Cash's son and I'm so freaking happy about this book. These Mayson boys are something something and I'm wondering if I could get one? Maybe to like.. borrow forever or something..

Jax and Ellie were adorable as shit. Ellie is Jax's one. Heck, he fell for her instantly. I fell for them both instantly. Ellie and her daughter have been through a lot. When she finally gets the chance to start somewhere new she took her daughter there without another glance or thought.

Their chemistry was off the charts. I loved them together and hated them apart. Ellie didn't want to start dating right away because she didn't think she was ready for it yet. However, no Mayson man would ever accept that. Obviously, she fell for him.

Then there's Hope, who was clearly the most adorable character ever. I loved how they were with her. God I swooned and had heart eyes for when Hope was with Jax. UGH the name she gave him! SO ADORABLE!

Overall, I loved this book so much that I didn't even have to think about starting the next one in this series. Heck, I already have it and I'm almost done. I love these guys.

reading 'Until July' But in saying that I got further than with 'Until Jax' and I gave it 2 Stars. Just sayin'.

But is was a DNF @ 56 %. I felt that there was no plot whatsoever. No conversation, too much "Babe" and "Jax" that I stopped counting.
I was also really bored.

I mean nothing happened, NOTHING, ZILCH, NADA. Unless I read a different book than everyone else.

So have I learnt my lesson? Probably not. I predict that the following will happen:

So I beg of all of my GR friends that if I do add any books of this to say Ms. Phoenix, WTF? Don't you remember the last two times.

It's been awhile since I've read one of Aurora Rose Reynolds' books, but I know that whenever I pick up one of her books, I have a good read in my hands! She's a sure thing and I always know I'm going to get a hot alpha, a strong heroine, a great storyline, and super steamy times. Until Jax delivered all that and more and there's no question that I loved it!

Ellie is just a wonderful heroine! She's so strong and protective of her daughter. She might not have grown up in the best of circumstances, but she never let that define who she became or let it bring her down. She's sweet and caring and loving, but that doesn't mean that she's a pushover. Ellie is brave, she's a fighter, she never gives up, and I know that you'll love her just as much as I do!

Man, oh man, is Jax one HOT alpha male! He's everything I love in my heroes: protective, possessive, dominant, demanding, and growly, but also so sweet and thoughtful when it comes to his girls. I love that you know exactly how Jax feels about Ellie and that there are no questions, worries, or doubts. Jax is an awesome, melt-worthy hero and I completely looooved him!!

I can't tell you how much I loved reading Until Jax! It gave me that familiar-but-also-new, visiting-an-old-friend feeling that is both comfortable and exciting! There is danger and beauty and moments that will make your heart ache, pound, and melt. It made me laugh, made my eyes sting, and it made me grin like an idiot and sigh happily. Until Jax was fantastic, I can't wait to read Until June and Until Sage, and after reading this book, I will forever think of popcorn as cockporn now!

Until Jax is a standalone, it's told from Jax and Ellie's POV, and I loved their HEA ending!
