a 4 . 75 to me because i did enjoy it but the vibes weren't 5 stars yk? the humor was great but i found that sometimes i wasn't hooked as i should've been. Maybe the expectations from the show were too high from me but not gonna lie there wasn't too big of a difference from the two which was nice to see. still love my ineffable husbands

I honestly wish I could have read this book as a kid, a absolutely loved it.

I particularly liked the parallels between the Four Horsemen and the Them. Pepper is amazing.

Ported over from my Goodreads:

It'd be hard to choose, but I think this is my favourite book, ever. Gloriously irreverent, packed full of jokes and humour, endlessly quotable, and able to make some quite profound points about life and philosophy when it has the time around the edges.

Meh. Funny in parts and I enjoyed the full cast of the audiobook with voices I recognised and could picture but I feel if I’d read this physically I’d have DNF’d it.

A book in which every other sentence is brilliantly witty. The plot jumps from character to character and between storylines effortlessly. Love the modern imagining of the Four Horsemen (although Pestilence definitely made a comeback in 2020...) and every moment we spend with Azriaphael and Crowley is fantastic.

Unfortunately some parts haven't aged well - there was a surprising amount of racism, homophobia and just general mean-spiritedness.
