After over a year of being stuck in lockdown and jobless, wondering who I even am anymore. I couldn't have picked a better time to read the Year of Yes. I love Shona even more than I did to begin with.
Her words have encouraged me to just be me, and that's more than okay. Plus when we can do things again, don't be afraid and do more. Be fearless, what do you have to lose.

It's tough. Shonda Rhimes is an amazing writer. She writes beautifully and it was a pleasant listen. I mean I used to watch Grey’s Anatomy (at least the first 5 seasons?) and I loved every conversation in the show. Content wise though, there isn’t anything new. I’ve heard it before in books like Lean In. If you are a fan of Shonda pick this book, if you’re looking for new ideas/content, I’m not so sure. 2-3 stars.

Read this on audio from the library. It was narrated by the author which definitely helped me enjoy this a lot. I laughed out loud multiple times. I also enjoyed that when she referenced a speech, it then played the audio from said speech. Such a fun experience!

Very enjoyable. Not my usual favorite genre.
