Books such as this one seem to try to repeat the same perspective in as many different ways as possible. In this case, the metaphor is archery. While this bothers some people, I find it incredibly helpful. I find a new way to look at life every time.

Okay, so them saying that this is a story is pretty misleading. I wouldn't go into this expecting a coherent narrative or something like the Alchemist where the lessons are woven into the story. This book feels more like a spiritual instruction manual using archery as the method of delivery.
And I love those kinds of books, so this was a good read for me.
However, I can see why it wouldn't appeal to a lot of other people, particularly if they'd read the blurb and were intrigued.
The "story" of Tetsuya is basically nothing more than a framing device and I personally think the book might have been stronger if he had left out Tetsuya altogether.
