As someone who has practiced the art of archery for most of my life, Paulo's descriptions of each component and action felt insightful and intimate. A lovely depiction of the zen-like balance necessary for archery, which can also be applied to life. Beautiful illustrations and short chapters encourage the reader to pause while reading and meditate on the message. Loved this book.

When I started reading this... book? Collection?...I made the mistake of looking up the reviews it received. I just don’t understand what the hate is about. This is not a novel. But it’s beautiful, and short, and cuts through to a lot of simple (and profound) truths. Maybe it’s just this year, but I loved it.

The Archer is the kind of book everyone should read at-least ones in their life.

The simple style of writing and yet the deep meaning of each and every word just entice you into understanding perfectly what the author wants to convey.

I can’t believe a piece of text could be this relatable (not just me but theres something for everyone who flips through the pages of this book)

Just 150-70 pages long. Small paragraphs on each page. Beautiful illustration (penguin classics edition) its not at all boring. That word doesn’t exist in Paulo Coelho’s dictionary.

True to its description. The way of bow indeed teaches you the way of life.

It’s easily forgettable.

If I could go back in time to tell myself to not pay $15 for this book and subsequently stop myself from ever reading this god awful book, I would. The masked self-help story you get is not worth the $15 lol

It was an overall very nice book got a lot to learn from it but there are better Paulo Coelho novels and it could have been a bit longer. I enjoyed it but 50 more pages would have been better
