This book made my little nerdy anxiety-ridden queer heart so happy! Absolutely adorable. This takes place at a convention and I love that! It is absolutely adorable how geeky these characters are!  I also LOVE the two love stories in this! Absolutely, with all my heart, I ship them both so hard! So cute.  I think this book did an excellent job with its anxiety rep and I totally feel for Tay! She is such an amazing character! I also loved all the character growth that Charlie went through! Great book, highly recommend for a quick light read!

Gleefully unapologetic in it's geekery- the two POV characters are lovingly realistic and relatable each in their own unique ways, and their friendship with each other and the third non-POV main character is wonderfully wholesome.

Despite the setting (a major fan convention) and the premise for the protagonists (one is recently famous and recovering from a very public breakup, the other is a fat autistic girl who struggles with social interaction) both being very easy targets for shame and mockery, I felt like I could trust the author from the start not to do anything hurtful.
While both girls do struggle with various issues throughout the book, it is never done in a way that is even remotely mocking- in fact, their struggles are acknowledged and validated by the people around them, given the understanding they deserve. It feels honest and loving, and open to the wide variety of human experience.

I read this book in a single day, which is something I haven’t done in a long time. It was feel-good and fluffy, but it also touched on some difficult themes. And the inclusivity. Wow. Sometimes it feels like writers sit down with their bingo cards of diversity and try to mark off every category even if it doesn’t make sense, but this book did not feel like that at all. All the representation felt natural, like the beautiful diversity of the real world. The description of an individual with autism-spectrum disorder navigating new places, new types of relationships, and new situations with the help of friends was particularly just so stinking good. And all the geek culture! Gah. Love it. I don’t usually dig YA, but this was a wonderfully surprising exception.
