A heartwarming and relatable take of fear, fandom, and falling in love. Awesome, fleshed out characters. PoC, LGBTQ, people with disabilities, mental illness, body image struggles...everyone felt very real. Except for Reese, he was kind of always the worst and didn't seem to have anything redeeming about him. I loved the focus of fandom and the con atmosphere. The relationships and friendships all felt natural and inspiring. I really loved reading this story!

I almost cried at several points while reading this book. Which... may have happened in a single sitting. This was exactly the book I needed this evening.
Also, I definitely appreciate Kristin Stewart a lot more now.

Really cute and fun with relatable characters for almost anyone! A little too YA heavy for my usual taste, would have loved to see the characters in their 20s+, but I also understand why it wouldn't work for this story. All that being said, I wish I would have read this when I was 15-20ish
Makes me desperate to go to a Con!

This is so sweet, so cute that I just fell in love with the both love stories inside 💕🙌🏻 hardly recommend this cutie book
Wow, this book! It had me go from crying to laughing within the span of a few pages. It filled my heart.
This book was amazing. Simply amazing. The characters, the writing, the plot, everything.

For such a fluffy, feel-good story (said in the best sense and loving it because of that) story, there is some incredible depth in how Wilde presents the central theme of being yourself and finding your people. It's front and center in everything that happens, but it reads like coming from someone that not only understands but feels what she's writing. It's a true part of life and therefore just another element in the story of three friends going on the trip of their dreams to the biggest pop culture convention in the world.
A definite must-read for all teenagers and anyone who feels like they're not seen or like their awkward is the only awkward out there. We're all weirdos here and we should all be proud of that.

3.5 Enjoyed this one as a hardcore fangirl, but a little too preachy in places. But I loved the characters and found the depiction of anxiety to be one of the most realistic of any book I've ever read.
