A humorous look at the world of rare books and the people who sell (and buy) them. The author has a gift for a witty turn of phrase, and there were several passages that kept me chuckling. I enjoyed the short chapters which kept the book moving along nicely from angle to angle. Recommended for fans of Shaun Bythell's bookseller diaries.

Interesting, boring, white noise. The progression of this book for me...

This is quite the look inside a rare bookseller's life. It's like the best parts of a TRPG and is just a lot of fun to read. I could see myself being good friend's with the author; we seem to have similar imaginations.

A treasure for book lovers. Darkshire (fantastic name) invites you into a cosy corner of the bookstore to watch his antics as apprentice bookseller. Each delightful story from the world of Sotheran’s brought a smile to my face, and quite a few made me chuckle out loud.
