Ow My God!!!! It ends in a huuuuge cliffhanger!!!! It's a good thing I have all of them and I can start the next one right away!!! First, when I started reading these books, I didn't think much of them... Considered them quite boring actually, and stopped reading after the second book. But then a close friend of mine started reading them and I thought, might as well give 'em a second chance. So I reread the first two with an open mind and found them quite different. But then again, I first read them in sixth grade. So I bought the rest of the books online and kept on reading. And I'm glad I did. Might not be as thrilling as other books, but I've always liked the vampire diaries. Both the novels and the TV show. And I absolutely love the Salvatore brothers. So, if there are any other readers that gave up on this series, you guys, I know how you feel. But try reading them again, looking at them from a different angle. There's a chance you'll actually like them a lot.

One thing I didn't like about this book was Violet. I know I said in another review of "The Ripper" that she is my favorite character. She still is... Sort of... The way she acted in this book was just horrible... I mean, attacking Stefan and almost killing her friend was one thing, but biting Cora, her own sister? That was just...not right... Still I believe that maybe she can be saved. I hope she doesn't die in the end... She was a very sweet girl in the beginning and she was so innocent, like a little angle. But changing into a vampire changed her radically.

Cora on the other hand is amazing. I love that she's bent on saving her sister and that she loves Violet very much. She's an amazing character that can be the boss of both Stefan and Damon. I mean, she's freaking amazing. LOL. And strong for that matter. And fearless. After all, let's remember that she's human. And she watches Stefan feed like it's an ordinary thing. Like he's eating food and not drinking blood from a freaking rat.

This was so good! My only complaint is that Damon needs to kill Samuel when he finds him. I know Damon wants to torture Samuel, but every time they get Samuel, Damon is too determined on making Samuel suffer. *sigh*. I would give this 4.5, but since goodreads doesn't do half stars. I give it 5 stars. I don't think this goes along with the tv show though. Because when Damon was feeding on Caroline, and Stefan spiked Damon's drink with vervain. Damon immediately became weak. But in this book (towards the end), Damon actually starts giving himself vervain to become immune to it like Samuel was.

Another good story in the Stefan Diaries series. Kept me interested throughout and has left me eager to read the final book.
