At first I started reading this from right to left manga style and it was very confusing. I figured it out by the end of the chapter then arranged everything and it was okay.
Ok.. Kamala is a Pakistani/American/Muslim girl with some weird powers, this is interesting. Interesting enough to make me go back to the beginning and how everything started.
I loved the drama part and the small lines between Kamala and the avengers. It's light and funny with nothing too serious so far.

As this review says: " how to relaunch a series that didn't need a relaunch in the first place."
I think I need to read the main Secret Wars stuff to fill the gap, but you can pick it up regardless. Takeshi Miyazawa is our new regular artist and while I liked Adrian Alphona's scrappy style, and will miss it, the art fits the series well and is excellent. So I'm happy.
I am excited about the inclusion of Mike. She's well written, instantly interesting, and it's nice to see more diversity in an already diverse work and to see Bruno continue to be such a feminist champion. Go Bruno. :)

I sort of jumped and have no idea what's going on (except that I actually knew she was on the Avengers) and it's still good.

Kamala will always be one of my favorite. She seemed to be drawn more perfect than normal in this issue though and her nose looked different to me. It's great to start a new arc and see where this goes.
