The first part of this is the original 5-part limited by Martha Thomases, fashion & detective story and pure loose-drawn 80s nostalgia. After that there's a really solid Spider-Man story (that I actually remember) and a couple of pretty subpar Wasp and Power Pack stories. What really shines in this volume though, is the Brubaker DD story in the back, with Dakota, her dad, Luke Cage and DD's cast of characters as a supporting cast. Dakota & Cage are the prime movers of the story, initially. Anyway, it was all worth it to me for this deep dive into a character I very much did not get when I was 12, but appreciate a little more now.
