Given that it is considered a true classic of Russian literature and a masterpiece, yes it's good. Personally imo, the multiple storylines and themes, from the supernatural, satirical, philosophical, and political, got me all convoluted. It also felt dreadful long.

This book started off so monotonously then it became a jungle of incoherent fever dreams of names I still can't pronounce or remember, it honestly is a great book for fans of surrealism and psychology, there are many references to Jesus's execution (it's a whole half section of the book) and satanic rituals with lots of mockery of both religion and satanism, I'm not sure how I found this book but I also had some fever dreams about the character because I made the mistake of reading before bed, and quite frankly it really is one of the best written works of modern fiction, I told a few people that it reads like the talks or dreams of a madman..it's true , there are several mad men, and the story is told from their points of view, and there are some disturbing scenes so read at your own risk.
